The Weller W100P3 Heavy-Duty 3-wire Soldering Iron with CT6F7 Tip uses Weller's "closed loop" method of controlling maximum tip temperature, -the temperature is controlled by the tip (600° F, 700° F, and 800°F tips available). The nominal heat-up time with a 700°F tip is 110 seconds.

The modular plug-in heater is made of stainless steel which means it has greater efficiency and versatility. TheW100P3's heating element is a nichrome wound, plug in. This soldering iron has a three wire grounded cord set and is a portable line voltage iron, which means no base station is required.
