The Hakko T15-BCM3 T15 Series Concave Face Composite Tip w/Indent has a small cavity that is created by the concave face of the tip that is popular when drag soldering. This popular shape provides a reservoir of solder that is used to create solder joints as the tip is passed over the lead and pad. As the T15-BCM3 passes over the pad and lead, the solder will wets to the surface, and the surface tension of the solder is between the solder joint and the concave face that balances. This allows for only enough solder to remain at the joint of proper filet formation. This tip will fit the Hakko FM203, FM204, FM205 and FX951 stations.
