Metcal MX-500DS - Desoldering System - Two Tool Kit - 50°-104°F

The Metcal MX-500DS Desoldering System provides greater process control with SmartHeat Technology, which means each cartridge is equipped with a self-regulating heater that senses its own temperature and closely maintains its pre-set idle temperature. This 40 Watt station, which has a new housing that reduces space requirements still retains switchable dual ports and is still compatible with all MX Series products.  The MX-500DS System's AC ground monitor detects power line ground failures and immediately alerts the operator and shuts down the system. Only after the power line ground has been restored can the MX-500 be restarted.

The Metcal MX-500DS Desoldering System has a built-in net power meter, which displays a graphical and numerical representation of the power applied to the cartridge. The tip temperature is determined by the inherent metallurgical properties of the heater, which means that no external adjustments or equipment is needed.  Along with that this station allows for the user to program a PowerSave timer between 10 minutes and 2 hours to help conserve energy when not in use. The MX-500DS is a universal power supply that automatically senses the input line voltage and adjusts accordingly that allows for it to be used around the world without any adapters or change in performance.
