The Hakko FX100-04 ESD-Safe Soldering Station is a compact stackable designed soldering system that minimizes the space used on the workstation. This soldering station features a large backlit display, which provides a clear and simple interface for the operator. Through this interface the user can program user profiles for tip and solder selection, set temperature level, receive constant feedback about thermal load on the soldering iron tip, and put a password on this station. With the use of the password lockout the user can be ensured that no unauthorized changes will be made to this system when multiple users are using it. The FX100 ESD-Safe Soldering System features a micro-processor control, which boosts the recovery and performance of the tips and with the advanced design of this system it optimizes performance by reducing power in the system while maintaining the lowest EMI levels to meet applicable standards especially with sensitive devices. Along with all these features this system also features an activity monitor that provides cumulative data on tips to help manage operating costs of the system and an auto-shut off feature. This ESD-Safe Soldering Station is provided with a light-weight, slender and ergonomically designed hand piece that has a burn resistant cord and uses T31 Series tip cartridges (please see accessories tab above). These soldering tip cartridges provide Hakko’s renowned tip life with greater power at each of the temperature selections and also work with the stations tip sleep function, which reduces tip temperature to preserve the tips life and reduce oxidation when the iron is not in use. All together this station meets or exceeds the requirements under IPC J-STD-001, ANSI ESD S20.20, and older MIL-STDs
