The Puritan 808 100 OB/GYN Swab is a non-sterile applicator that has an oversized extra-absorbent rayon tip with a paper handle. This extra-absorbent USP grade rayon fiber material is carded on-site to maintain consistency and make the applicator medical grade quality. The 808 100 OB/GYN applicator can be used in a wide range of environments such as medical, diagnostics, forensics, and veterinary for task like forensics/evidence collection, cell collection in veterinary applications or preparatory to specimen sampling or exams. This multi-swab meets the following standards ISO 9001:2008, FDA GMP's, and CE marked for medical use.

The rayon tip material is a synthetic spun fiber made from wood pulp. This soft and absorbent material is much like cotton and is an economical choice for applications that cotton swabs would not be suitable. It's widely used for specimen collection.
