The Alpha 373-5G Liquid Soldering Neutral Flux is used in mass soldering of printed circuit boards. It has a special formulation that provides broad preheat range, low smoke, low odor and does not foam in cleaning systems using soft or deionized water. This neutral flux is primarily for foam applications and conveyor soldering and can be sprayed, dipped, wave or brushed applied. The Alpha 373-5G Liquid Soldering Neutral Flux organic activating systems have a neutral pH at room temperature and become active with elevated temperatures.
Please note that flux applicators and reservoir should be plastic or titanium and flux coated surfaces should be preheated to provide optimum wicking and solder joint formation. Also to note is the degree of preheat is dependent on many variables such as conveyor speed, type of components, and substrates. When entering the solder wave with topside temperature in the 177°F range is typical.
