The tip of this applicator is a medical grade calcium alginate material, which contains no fatty acids that may be inhibitory to many strains of bacteria. It's bonded to a thin flexible aluminum handle and perfect for medical, veterinary, and diagnostic environments for task's like specimen collection, veterinary care, ophthamlmology, pediatrics, and wound care.
