The SCS (formerly 3M) MagSnap™ 360 Magnetic Metal ESD Wrist Strap uses a unique magnetic connection that creates a superior electrical connection eliminating the intermittent failures found in traditional snap connections. It has a dual wire metal expansion design that creates a redundant path-to-ground and if one conductor is damaged the user will still maintain the path-to-ground through the other conductors. The SCS MagSnap 360 Magnetic Metal Wristband provides a path-to-ground with a resistance of < 3.5 x 10 ⁷ ohms per the required limits of ANSI/ESD S20.20 for method 1. The back plate and links are made from a medical grade series stainless steel, which creates a more reliable path-to-ground for the operator and is perfect for low voltage systems. This metal wristband is also date coded to track the lifespan and to ensure quality control.
