The Weller T0051320299 WXDP120 Desoldering Iron w/Safety Rest is for use with the Weller WXD2 double channel station and uses push-pull technology for easy changing of cartridges. This tool has an ergonomic soft grip handle with integrated finger switch for applying a vacuum that allows both left and right handed users to work comfortably and efficiently. It uses the new high-power silver heating element for 50 percent more power and heats up in 35 seconds (20 seconds if in standby mode). The T0051320299 also minimizes tip cleaning by using a design that extends the shaft of the nozzle directly into the solder collection tube. This removes the time consuming task of cleaning the tool because when the nozzle is replaced so is the suction tube. It also features quick and safe nozzle replacement due to the mountings and removes the risk of burning. This iron unlike others has a motion sensor inside the handle, which will sense when the tool is not in use and conserve energy.
